Lee’s Summit Medical Center is a 68-bed acute care hospital l ocated Lee’s Summit Missouri. As our community grows, so does our campus. Current services include Level III trauma care, Level II Stroke state designations, Accredited Chest Pain Center, Sarah Cannon Cancer Care, and an orthopedic center for excellence.

Future plans for our campus include additional expansion of service lines and in increase in our overall bed capacity.

The role of the Sterile Processing Manager is to ensure that quality care is followed per policy and procedure in the Central Sterilizing Department. Must have working knowledge of Standards for all types of sterilization equipment, sonic cleaners, and washer sterilizers.

Oversees the CSTs functions including appropriate decontamination, cleaning, sterilization, processing, packaging, and quality checks for cleanliness, rust, or needed repairs of instruments in Central Sterile.

Assist with stocking all supplies and maintaining PAR levels. Must be knowledgeable of all policies and procedures for processing, packaging, and delivering sterilized equipment to multiple departments including, Radiology, Cath Lab, EP Lab, Respiratory Therapy, Emergency Department, and any other indicated departments.

Quality performance and maintenance of logs for all biological and chemical monitoring of various types of sterilizers to include, steam, ETO, Steris, and Sterrad along with RN.

Licensure/ Certifications: Certified Sterile Processing Tech requiredwithin one yearthrough Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI)or Certified Reg Central Service Tech through International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management IAHCSMMwithin one
year of hire.

Experience: OR Tech experience preferred. 3-5 years in hospital Central Sterile or Surgery required.
