Northrop Grumman is seeking an Industrial or Aerospace Engineering student for this internship with our Technical Services Sector at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri.
The qualified applicant will become part of our renowned team, providing full spectrum onsite support to B-2 Program at Whiteman AFB. The selected candidate will work in a dynamic environment alongside experienced engineers and a high caliber manufacturing team to build aircraft trade knowledge, enhancing skill development and gaining a fundamental understanding of how engineering decisions impact the finished product.
Cumulative 3.25 GPA or higher.
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university degree program pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics or other similar engineering or scientific majors.
Requires coursework in one or more of the following specialties: Computer-aided Manufacturing, Prototyping, Solid Modeling, Mechanics of Materials, Statistics, Dynamics, Control Systems, Heat Transfer, Thermodynamics and Vibrations.
Requires coursework, interest, motivation and experience as a foundation to develop expertise in one or more of the above engineering specialties.
Must have a demonstrated ability to work productively in a team environment and have excellent communication skills.
Must be available to work full time (40 hours per week) for a minimum of 10 weeks during the summer 2017 semester.
Clearance request will be initiated after hiring selection.
Must be able to obtain a secret clearance to participate in most planned activities.
U.S. citizenship is required.
GPA of 3.7 or higher
Expertise in CATIA or similar 3D modeling programs.
A current secret or higher security clearance would be an advantage.
Completion of junior year preferred.
